TSSC Selected as Top 100 Robotics Company

We’re excited to share that The Robot Report has selected The Shape Sensing Company for its Top 100 Startups of 2025 list, a cross-industry selection that spans healthcare, aerospace and defense, construction, supply chain, and advanced manufacturing. The list highlights young companies founded in 2020 or later that are either building novel robotic systems or enabling critical capabilities that make next-generation robotics possible.

This year’s group includes surgical robotics pioneers like ForSight Robotics, autonomy players such as Bluewater Autonomy and Bedrock Robotics, advanced humanoid developers like Cartwheel Robotics and Humanoid, and high-growth embodied-AI platforms like X Square Robot. Being included in the same report as companies pushing the boundaries of automation, autonomy, and human-robot interaction reflects how essential high-quality sensing and real-time data have become across the robotics landscape.

TSSC’s role in that ecosystem is unique. Our fiber-optic shape sensing platform brings real-time, millimeter-accurate 3D data to deformable, flexible systems where conventional sensing and localization fail. While our initial focus is healthcare, the recognition from The Robot Report underscores that what we’re building has far-reaching implications for robotics more broadly, especially as the field moves toward AI-guided and eventually autonomous systems that rely on continuous, high-fidelity feedback.

For investors and partners, this selection signals that TSSC is not just addressing an important problem in minimally invasive surgery, but is emerging as a foundational enabler for the data-driven future of robotics. We’re honored to be included and energized by what this says about the long-term potential of our technology and our company.
